History

Mr. Anistead came in 1966 to play tennis in the area. They call themselves the Turkeys. It was a very peaceful place to play tennis. He and Mr. Craig started the Turkeys. Arthur Ashe played on the same court. Morgan Jones, Ms. Joy’s dad, played here, too. Ten members are active.

Ms. Natalie moved over here in 1994. She started volunteering in 1996, went on trips and tutored students after school. Ms. Debrow came in 1988.
